The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, during his speech at yesterday’s meeting of the Municipal Council, brought back to attention the reconstruction program, when he said that the construction of houses in Peza will start soon.
A part of Veliaj’s speech at the Municipal Council meeting:
“We have just unlocked the process of rebuilding houses in Peza – even there the road infrastructure is finished, we will soon start building houses. I saw the news on a television, which clearly has a political wing and agenda said: Houses are going to the cemetery, the cemetery is going to the houses in Baldushk. This is nonsense! When the owners of that television station ruled the country, in the Sharra cemetery it was built without permission between the cemeteries.
Where there is public land, former cooperative or military units, the municipality tries to put them in its function, in order to reduce the costs of expropriation as much as possible. Therefore, the invitation to the colleagues of the opposition is that politics can not be done with everything, especially when you yourself were in charge of the state and in the cemetery the artists were buried on the asphalt.
Let’s not make policy on these and let’s move on with the post – earthquake reconstruction story. “The decision we make today unblocks a large part of the funds of those who will build the houses themselves.”.
