4.5 million euros of drugs were seized in Italy, while 11 people were handcuffed, including Albanians.
Turin police say those involved in this drug trafficking are Italians, Albanians and Poles.
Following investigations in Ecuador, Slovenia, Albania, Poland, Germany and Switzerland, 30 checks were carried out, while over 80 kg of cocaine and over 7 kg of marijuana were seized.
Police initially arrested in flagrante delicto 8 people, drug couriers, who were traveling in specially modified cars in Slovenia. The cocaine destinations were in northern Italy, in the Slovenian, Dutch, Swiss and German territories.
The international investigation is related to a murder that took place on January 22 in a restaurant in Guayaquil, Ecuador, where the Albanian, Ergys Dashi, who is suspected to be the head of the criminal drug organization, was killed.
