The country’s Foreign Ministry said today that staff members had been declared persona non grata and given two weeks to leave Portugal.
None of the fired workers are diplomats, the ministry said.
“Portuguese government reiterates its firm and stern condemnation of Russian aggression on Ukrainian territory“, It is said in a statement.
The move comes after France and Germany ordered a total of 75 Russian diplomats to leave following alleged war crimes by Moscow forces in the Ukrainian city of Bucha.
