On the evening of March 28, 1997, a ship with 115 Albanians on board was sailing for Italy.
In the Otranto canal 81 of them lost their lives, most of them women and children protected from the cold inside the Rada Katr and who could not swim. Today 23 victims are still left without a grave while only 61 could survive the Otranto tragedy. on this 25th anniversary the pain remains the same for relatives.
