Two new pianos were donated to the artistic high school “Jan Kukuzeli” of Durrës by 200 artists from Albania and Kosovo, who came together in a charity concert, after the tragic earthquake of November 26, 2019 in Durrës.
The pianos were handed over today to the teaching staff by soprano Inva Mula. “It is only the beginning and we aim to take the valuable cooperation further”, said the well-known Albanian soprano, initiator of the campaign.
Attendees appreciated this initiative that helps students, future artists and significantly facilitates the teaching process on this much loved instrument.
From the artistic high school “Jan Kukuzeli” over the years have emerged well-known names of the world scene, starting from Florian Vlashi, Olen Çezari, Gëzim Myshketa and many others. Inva Mula along with other artists took to the stage, in a humanitarian evening for those affected by the earthquake, which hit our country.
The invitation of the soprano was joined by artists from the field of music and numerous actors, who showed solidarity to raise funds to help those affected by the earthquake. In parallel with the concert held in Tirana, another one took place in Prishtina, while the donations were concretized with the purchase of two gift pianos for this school.
