A 52-year-old man from Mallakastra has been detained by police after being accused of helping people cross the border illegally.
The police informs that the 52-year-old was arrested after the investigative actions showed that on 22.03.2022 he helped three citizens to cross the border illegally to the Greek state, in exchange for profit, without the relevant documentation.
The materials in charge of the above citizen were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Gjirokastra Court of First Instance for the criminal offense “Assistance in illegal border crossing”.
