For five days, Vlora has been facing fires that have burned large areas of vineyards and olive groves in some villages.
This Tuesday morning, near the village of Radhimë, herbs, bushes and some olive roots were burned.
The day before, active hearths were reported in Zvërnec, where bushes and olive roots were burned.
Earlier, centuries-old olive groves were burned in the hills of the village of Bestrovë, in the area of Panaja.
While there is still no evidence from the investigation into the causes of the fire, it is suspected that these events may be intentional.
Forest areas are often set on fire to obtain construction sites.
The cases of burning olive groves in Panaja are suspected to be a consequence of old conflicts between landowners and ranchers, as the latter burn lands, even olives to obtain pastures for their livestock.
