A Moscow court has declared Meta an “extremist organization” and banned her services.
Russia’s secret service (FSB) had asked the judiciary to impose an “immediate” ban on the American social networks Facebook and Instagram in Russia.
“Meta’s activities are against Russia and its armed forces. We therefore demand that Meta be banned in Russia and that this ban be implemented immediately“, Said Igor Kovalevski in the first session of the trial, FSB spokesman.
The detention was also requested by the Moscow prosecutor.
