The time element seems to take on another meaning in the blue headquarters. On March 18, the Tirana Court will review the Democratic Party’s request for registration of statutory changes, where obtaining approval for Lulzim Basha would fully legitimize his battle against Sali Berisha.
This seems to be the ace under the sleeve of the leader of the Democrats, who needs time to reach by Friday, an element that Lulzim Basha has in retail.
“We have given Basha a deadline until tomorrow,” said Duma.
In the face of pressure from rebels demanding his resignation, the leader of the Democrats has set in motion his confidant. Enkelejd Alibeaj as chairman of the group has been entrusted with the task by Basha to calm down the anger of the deputies, at least until the end of this week.
Lulzim Basha’s tactics do not seem to be individual, and obviously as before there is a tacit support from the internationals, as long as his departure is conditioned by the non-return of Sali Berisha at the helm of the DP.
Sali Berisha, for his part, is waiting for the developments inside the headquarters, which he could not take on January 8 with external protests, but he seems to have the most hopes for the internal revolt that erupted after the March 6 defeat.
The weekend is in charge of Lulzim Basha and the Assembly has not helped him in this either, which on Thursday will not discuss the motion with debate on the price crisis, requested by the blue headquarters.
On Friday the lawsuit for the owner of the blue headquarters. there is always the danger of removing the stamp from Basha, who, even so, is barely holding it after March 6.
Grida Duma’s ultimatum may not be so threatening, but it is another sign that the most difficult days for the DP leader are still ahead.
