For 6 days in a row, starting from Wednesday, oil will be sold for 203 ALL per liter, about 8 ALL less than the day before.
It is the latest decision of the Fuel Management Board that has further reduced fuel prices in the country. Gasoline for consumers will be traded cheaper at 206 ALL per liter.
The price of gas has remained unchanged even after the last meeting of the board and continues to remain at the level of 93 ALL per liter.
These fixed prices for fuel will remain until March 21, at the next meeting of the state fuel board.
But how is the situation in world markets and have board decisions reflected the trend of international stock exchanges?
A barrel of oil on the London Stock Exchange is currently trading at $ 99.1, while in the United States it has dropped to $ 95.6 per barrel.
When oil in our country was sold for 211 lek a day ago, on the stock exchanges the price of a barrel of oil was below 100 dollars per barrel. Whereas when the oil on the stock exchange was on average 97 dollars per fucci, instead the oil was traded for almost 192 lek per liter.
In such conditions, when the barrel of oil is going on average at 99 dollars, the price in our country should have dropped below the level of 200 lek per liter.
In the countries of the region, oil is sold cheaper than in Albania, with Kosovo, Serbia, Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina below 1.6 euros per liter, while only in Montenegro it is sold more expensive than in Albania at 1.7 lek per liter. This is also due to the tax burden that weighs on oil in our country.
“In the pressure of the public more than the protests, the government for the third day in a row, has forced the big sellers to reduce the prices of oil. But again between the price of barrels sold on the stock exchange and that bought by Albanian drivers, there is a difference of almost 50 million ALL per day. “Proof that again, even in these days of deep crisis, someone is making money, which is paid by us, the Albanians.”
