Italian police have busted a criminal gang involved in drug trafficking consisting of 13 people, Italians and Albanians.
Among them is the famous Albanian singer, Elsa Lila, 40 years old, who is said to have kept accounts of drug sales. Also included is boxer Petrit Bardhi, known as “Titty”.
13 arrest warrants have been issued but so far only 9 people have been handcuffed.
Boxer Titty’s name came up during another operation in July of Gico della Guardia di Finanza in 2015.
Singer Elsa Lila was born in Tirana, Albania, but has been living in Italy for years. Her father was a singer of the former Albanian state choir, while her mother was a violinist, so both her parents raised her close to music and theater, giving her a great love for the arts. Elsa had shown her singing and acting talents since she was a child in the Albanian state television shows and won the national competition of Albanian songs 2 years in a row while she was in her teens. She is also known for the origin of the role of Satine in the Albanian version of Moulin Rouge music.
