An adviser to the Ukrainian government said he expected the war in his country to end by early May at the latest, when Russia “runs out of resources” to attack its neighbor.
“I think that no later than May, in early May, we will have to have a peace agreement,” said Oleksiy Arestovich.
In the coming months, he added, two scenarios could occur:
“Or a peace agreement will be reached very soon, within a week or two, with the withdrawal of troops. [ruse] and everything… or attempts will be made to gather – say – some Syrians for a second round [luftimesh]”.
“When we destroy them too, the agreement [do të arrihet] “until mid-April or late April,” said Arestovich.
The Pentagon has previously claimed that the Russians are trying to recruit Syrians to fight in Ukraine – although this has not been verified.
Arestovich is not personally involved in the peace talks between Ukraine and Russia.
