Price protest / Rama: I am with those who get on buses not those who have expensive cars

In a meeting with retirees to talk about the Social Resistance package, Rama said he is not allied with those who have expensive cars, but with those who travel by bus, have a small business and pay energy with declared money.

Rama reiterated that our country has the lowest taxes on the individual and small business, inviting citizens to ask an employee in Germany how much tax they pay.

Rama: We have to agree on some facts, it is impossible if we go out and tell the Albanians that the government steals oil and energy that we have, God has given us energy and oil. God has given us a place with water resources, but energy is produced by hydropower plants, God does not produce it.

Albania can not produce all the quantity it needs for its consumption today, so it must enter the market. Albania produces an energy that depends 100% on God, ie rain. When it’s not raining we stay. It’s up to you to steal it, these are told to people. No, you have to keep it, wherever we take it in the fridge or in the cupboard, the reason why it is sold cheaply, is that it is sold at a time when we have a lot of rain, because it is exploding, it becomes famous, the whole north of Albania disappears, therefore we sell it. That is why we are building Skavica, why we did it in the first term, but why it was not done earlier.

We are building it and depositing it, so that when we need it we have it here, so we buy it expensively because we buy it when it is not available and sell it when it is not available. Our oil is heavy that if processed and turned into oil, it costs much more than it does now, then exported for bitumen.
