Citizens protested for over two hours this Sunday in front of the Prime Minister in Tirana and other cities of the country, against the price increase.
From “Skënderbej” square, they marched towards the Prime Minister’s Office and then blocked the intersection of “Myslym Shyri” street near the High Court.
It took police intervention to disperse the protesters and clear the way.
This revolt of citizens came after the immediate rise in the price of food products and hydrocarbons as a result of the war in Ukraine.
Protesters in Tirana marched towards the Prime Minister’s Office with the banner “Enough stole us!”.
Today they protested not only for the prices, but also for the release of the protesters who were arrested the day before.
The citizens of “5 Maji” and the Lapraka area joined the protesters this weekend as well.
It was a peaceful protest, in which some of the activists spoke.
Adriatik Lapaj lawyer told Top Channel that the protest will continue until the moment when the citizens will want to come out to protest.

Citizens also protested in Kukës, Devoll and Korçë, holding placards and calling on the government.
