Korça police crack down on another case of criminal activity of providing assistance to foreign nationals for illegal border crossing, in exchange for a reward.
As a result, in the framework of the police operation codenamed “Perimeter”, the citizen EB, 19 years old, resident in Korça, was caught red-handed, transporting 5 illegal immigrants in exchange for a reward.
Specialists for Investigation of Illegal Trafficking and Narcotics at the Local Police Directorate of Korça, in cooperation with the Special Forces “Eagles”, under the direction of the Prosecution of the Korça Judicial District, following the police operation codenamed “Perimeter”, have hit another case of criminal activity of providing assistance to foreign citizens for illegal border crossing, against the reward, as a result of which was caught and arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen EB, 19 years old, resident in Korça.
The police services have caught on the road axis Pojan-Pendavinj, Maliq, the above citizen, transporting with the vehicle type “Benz”, 5 illegal immigrants, to whom in return he had promised to cross to EU countries. The driver of the vehicle, at the time of the arrest, tried to leave by disobeying the order of the police officers to stop, but was later apprehended and neutralized.
Work is underway to fully document the event and bring to justice the other persons implicated in this criminal activity.
The materials were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Korça Judicial District for the criminal offenses “Assistance in illegal border crossing”, committed in collaboration and “Disobedience to the order of a public order police officer”.
