Five people have been arrested and 16 others have been prosecuted by the Dibra police, after obstructing the circulation of vehicles, blocking the national road Bulqiza-Peshkopi, in a sign of revolt to increase the price of fuel and food.
Investigative structures of the Local Police Directorate of Dibër and the Police Commissariat Bulqiza at the end of the first investigative actions carried out in connection with the protest held on 10 and 11 March 2022, on the road axis Bulqiza-Peshkopi, based on the evidence collected, arrested for the criminal offenses “Opposition of a public order police officer”, “Disobedience to the order of a public order police officer”, “Obstruction of the circulation of vehicles”, “Organizing or participating in illegal gatherings and demonstrations”, citizens: Sh. GJ., 43 years old, LP, 28 years old, NA, 40 years old, BA, 60 years old, KT, 25 years old.
As well as the criminal proceedings started for the citizens: BD, 44 years old, Sh. D., 42 years old, A. Sh., 31 years old, OD, 22 years old, I. Ç., 35 years old, Z.Ç., 58 years old, YL, 25 years old, LL, 31 years old, MS, 40 years old, M. Ç., 45 years old, EL, 37 years old, Sh. T., 40 years old, LA, 26 years old, BC, 40 years old, S. Gj., 37 years old, YR, 23 years old, and was declared wanted by the citizen IL, as these citizens on March 11 and 12, prevented vehicle traffic blocking the road axis Bulqiza-Peshkopi.
The materials were forwarded to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance in Debar, for further action.
The Local Police Directorate of Dibër appeals to all citizens not to block the free movement of vehicles and citizens, because they will face the force of law.
