The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has reported casualties and injuries as a result of the fire at the nuclear power plant, but without stating an exact number.
Workers are monitoring the nuclear plant in Zaporizhia to make sure it is working safely and that radiation levels are normal, the ministry said in a Facebook post.
If the cooling process of nuclear oil is disrupted, there may be large-scale radioactive damage.
Like Zelensky, the Foreign Ministry said the nuclear disaster in Zaporizhia could be worse than Chernobyl or Fukushima.
