Amused Ukrainians were seen today on social media circulating with a tank captured by Russian forces while in one village, members of the resistance were seen burning a rocket launcher that reportedly cost millions of dollars.
In the short images posted on the network online, one of the victorious men shouted “We did it!” and “Glory to Ukraine!” as their comrades ran the Russian tank in a snow-covered field.
In another unidentified video, a rocket launcher was seen on fire.
The mobile military plant was marked with the Russian symbol Z and burned by farmers as an act of defiance against the enemy.
The footage was reportedly filmed in the town of Bashtanka in the southern Ukrainian region of Mykolaiv Oblast on March 1st.
Boris Filatov, the mayor of Dnipro, shared images of the Pantsir-C missile system commenting that villagers had captured and destroyed it.
Filatov said: “Usually I do not like the scenes of victory or the release of hats. “The war is terrible but these farmers cannot be defeated.”
Developments come amid reports that demoralized Russian troops are surrendering without resistance, according to British intelligence.
Other videos show Russian troops retreating after hopes of a quick capture of the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, were dashed.
Other unconfirmed videos on social networks show expensive military vehicles abandoned by the army, writes the British The Sun.
