A young employee at a childcare home came to work in provocative clothing and had started having sex with a 17-year-old boy, it was said today at her trial in Britain.
Jade Fitzpatrick, 26, was recorded kissing and hugging the teenager who lived in the care home where she worked in Wrexham, Wales.
The couple are accused of having started an intimate relationship and had booked a few days in Thorpe Park 200 miles away from the area where they lived.
Concerns about Fitzpatrick arose when the teenager damaged a car after he got nervous that their “romantic” trip had been canceled.
Concerns about Fitzpatrick had been raised earlier about the inappropriate clothing she wore to work, such as shorts and open tops.
A colleague of hers had seen the duo sitting with their legs ‘intertwined with each other’ in a park in Wrexham.
Complaining officer Graham Miles said the matter had come to light in August 2020 when the young man damaged the vehicle near the care home.
A neighbor testified about the staff saying he had seen the couple kissing and hugging several times.
Miles added: “She failed to maintain professional boundaries by creating an inappropriate relationship with the boy, motivated by sex.”
At the hearing it was said that she communicated with the teenager using a secret language that was not understood by anyone and that she visited the room at night behind closed doors.
Other residents of the care home testified: “Noises from their room sounded like two people having sex.”
The couple denies having had sexual intercourse, the disciplinary hearing continues.
