The Albanian government has almost a package of sanctions against Russia, which are already believed to have received the approval of Prime Minister Edi Rama and international partners.
Sources aware of the drafting of these sanctions by the Albanian government, told Top Channel journalist Muhamed Veliu that during the last 48 hours for the legal directorate in the Prime Minister in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and partners, have been intensive in drafting these sanctions .
The same sources explained that the Albanian package of Russian sanctions could be presented by Prime Minister Edi Rama or Albanian Foreign Minister Olta Xhacka.
Top Channel also learns that the Prime Minister is coordinating the work with several ministries for immediate change of the Albanian legislation, so that the sanctions of our country against Russia are 100% effective and enforceable.
It is suggested that the Albanian package has more than 10 sanctions against the Russian state.
Prime Minister Edi Rama engaged during the meeting of NATO leaders two days ago to join the sanctions.
In the parliament on Thursday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Olta Xhacka declared that “We will join these new sanctions imposed by the EU”.
Currently in the Western Balkans region, Kosovo and Northern Macedonia have published their list of sanctions against Moscow.
