Some areas of the country are facing bad weather of 24 hours, such as snowfall in the form of storms and wind speeds.
According to the Distribution System Operator (DSO), as a result of bad weather, the lines and poles of the electricity network were damaged, affecting the assets of 110kV voltage of OST and high voltage 35kV of DSO, mainly in the southeast of the country.
The 35kV lines Korça – Bilisht and Ersekë – Mollas are defective, where 10 poles have collapsed. The 110Kv line of OST Zëmblak 1 – Korça is also in breakdown.
The DSO reports that the groups are on the ground and are working to restore energy as soon as possible, but the difficult mountainous terrain has made their work more difficult.
The most problematic areas are those of Korça and Elbasan, mainly mountainous areas.
