Italy has decided to close its airspace to Russian aircraft, as well as to send military aid in support of Ukraine.
According to local media, a new decree on sending weapons to Ukraine in the fight against Putin’s Russia will be adopted tomorrow.
Following Prime Minister Mario Draghi’s talks with President Zelensky and the agreement within the European Union, the move will authorize the delivery of machine guns and ammunition, as well as the supply of several missiles.
The ammunition will arrive via an air bridge at the border and then on the ground with a NATO convoy. The Italian mission is authorized “under Articles 3 and 4 of the North Atlantic Treaty”. 1350 soldiers have also been made available and all of them are part of special units.
