A mother managed to give birth to her son in a warehouse in Rivne.
It happened at the shelter of the Rivne Regional Perinatal Center, said chief physician Victoria Yenikeeva, just 16 years old.
When she started having contractions and had just dropped the bombing siren at 15.30 she was transferred to the shelter.
“A boy was born here. “Mother and child feel good.” said the chief physician.
During the air alarm, women and newborns are transported to shelters and after closure are returned to their wards.
There is a maternity operating room, where there are conditions for intervention with spinal anesthesia, as well as pediatric resuscitation.
