In Sukth there will be a new counseling and services office for families in need, said the mayor of Durres Emiriana Sako who held a meeting with families in need in the administrative unit of Sukth.
Mayor Sako talked and got acquainted with the needs of these families while stating that the municipality offers a range of services for people in need and one of these is the new counseling office in this unit. Explaining how this office will function, Sako said that it will treat cases of families in need, children or adults who need the advice of a psychologist, or various social issues. Thanks to the contribution of the municipality as well as foreign donors, the office is expected to be set up very soon.
Mayor Sako has talked to these families about another program, that of housing. In the new palaces that are being reconstructed as well as in the two new neighborhoods in Manez and Spitalë, there will be additional apartments, which will be rented out to low-income and homeless families.
The Municipality of Durrës has as one of its priorities housing for needy and homeless families. Currently this municipality has several housing programs as social as social rented housing where 342 families are sheltered in the buildings built for this purpose in the 17th district and in Shkozet, the loan facilitated by 3% where only in 2021 345 families benefited, bonus 50% housing which last year benefited 107 families as well as the immediate grant.
