Arlen Hasanaj, who is suspected of having placed the tritol in the house of the leader of FSHF Armando Duka, was released this Wednesday.
Judge Shpëtime Pitaku accepted the request of the detainee and his lawyer to replace the security measure with a more lenient one.
The evidence submitted by the defense was accepted by the court which changed the security measure from “arrest in prison” to “obligation to appear” at the judicial police. In late January, the judge ruled the arrest legal and ordered the 34-year-old to be jailed.
The main suspect for placing an explosive device in the outer gate of the house of the head of the ALF on January 24 is the owner of a business in Durrës and is known as a person with no previous criminal record. He was arrested about 24 hours after the explosion, based on security camera footage in the alley where the Duke’s house is located and on the road parallel to the port from where the perpetrator is suspected to have come and gone.
Other plans from the security cameras were brought by the defense to support the alibi of the client who was in another place before the event and impossible in a few minutes of space, according to the defense, to commit the crime for which Hasanaj is accused.
Meanwhile, security services of a private physical security company were set up at the outer gate of the Duke after the event.
