Blinken writes that it is already 100 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Albania and the United States, while he expects them to continue for another 100 years.
“It was a pleasure to receive the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and to celebrate the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the United States of America and Albania. “We look forward to the next 100 years,” Blinken wrote in the post.

On Tuesday afternoon in Washington, Prime Minister Edi Rama met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
The meeting lasted about 45 minutes and was of particular importance. Blinken expressed gratitude for the reception in Albania of over 2 thousand Afghan refugees.
Rama said that he highly values the friendship with the USA and that Albania will do its best to deserve this special friendship.
“We value this friendship, this relationship as the most valuable thing. We are very proud to be by your side and help as much as we can, to return what you have done for us over the years, not only for Albania, but also for Kosovo Albanians and Albanians everywhere.
