France will not punish people caught with fake coronavirus vaccination passports if they decide to be immunized, according to some instructions issued to the health authorities, reports dpa.
At the same time a procedure has been established in the vaccination centers to delete the fake documents from the national register, and thus the police will not have those violations in the system.
The French government has estimated that there are about 200,000 fake vaccination passports in this country.
Occasionally criminals have been caught hacking into vaccination staff in order to create thousands of fake documents.
The deadline to receive the booster dose of the vaccine has been reduced from Tuesday in France.
The third dose is now required four months after receiving the second dose in order for the vaccine passport to be valid.
Without this document, public life in France is considered limited.
French citizens must be vaccinated or cured of the coronavirus to attend sporting and cultural events, to go to cinemas, cafes or restaurants.
Passport is also required to travel by plane or long distance train.
According to the latest data, 78.9 percent of the French population is considered fully vaccinated while 55.2 percent of it has received the booster dose.
