An official announcement was issued a few moments ago by the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs for its citizens who are in Ukraine, as well as for Greek citizens who want to go there in the coming days.
The announcement was made after an urgent meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs convened by Greek Chief Diplomat Nikos Dendias, attended by the Minister of National Defense, Nikos Panagiotopoulos, the Minister of Education and Religious Affairs, Niki Kerameos, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andreas Katsanias.
According to this announcement: The Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly discourages all travel throughout the territory of Ukraine and at the same time recommends the Greek citizens who are there to leave the country immediately.
Greek citizens who have not left are now advised to immediately declare their contact details at the Greek Embassy in Kiev.
In this case it is noted that the staff of the Embassy of Kiev has been reduced and works only with the necessary staff, while at the same time, the staff of the Greek Consulate General in Mariupol, will be strengthened.
