It’s not too late for Russia to impose Western sanctions in the event of an invasion of Ukraine! Russian Ambassador to Sweden Viktor Tatarintsev said Moscow was not at all concerned about the punitive measures that could be taken in this case.
“Forgive me for the language I am using, but we do not care about their sanctions. “We have faced so many sanctions so far, and they have, in a sense, had a positive effect on our economy and agriculture.”the senior Russian diplomat told the newspaper Aftonbladet.
“We are doing well on our own, we have been able to significantly increase our exports. We do not have Italian or Swiss cheese, so what? We are used to making equally good Russian cheeses using Italian and Swiss recipes“, He said.
Tatarintsev admitted that the new sanctions have nothing positive, but according to him they are not so bad, while accusing the West of not understanding the Russian mentality.
The ambassador once again reprimanded the idea that Moscow did not want the war, and even sought to avoid it. The movements of the Russian army, however, are increasingly proving that the fear of an incursion into the neighboring country is not so unfounded.
