Durrës police announce that they have arrested a 57-year-old man in Shijak, after driving the bus in a drunken state.
It was the citizens who informed the police that the citizen BV was carrying out dangerous maneuvers on the Shkozet-Shijak road.
After performing the alcohol test it turned out that the driver was driving the bus in a drunken state at the rate of 1.48 mg per liter.
The blue uniforms arrested the driver and seized the vehicle. The 57-year-old was punished with an administrative measure of 90,000 new lek and a 16-month suspension of his Driving License.
The police report states that: “The Traffic Police services, after the notification received from the citizens that a bus was carrying out dangerous maneuvers on the Shkozet-Shijak road, immediately made it possible to block the bus.
After performing the alcohol test, it turned out that the driver of the bus, citizen BV, 57 years old, resident in the village of Erzen, Shijak, was driving the bus in a drunken state at the rate of 1.48 mg per liter.
At the end of the actions, he was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense “Irregular driving” (in a drunken state), and the investigative materials were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office, Durrës Judicial District for further action.
