COVID19 / Ministry of Health: 1766 tests, 251 infected citizens, 7 loss of life and 1246 healed in the last 24 hours
The Ministry of Health appeals to citizens to be vaccinated as soon as possible, to protect themselves and the health of others.
Any citizen over 16 years of age can be vaccinated at the health center or at the nearest centralized vaccination point.
Vaccination is also open for children +12 years old with immune system problems, with a doctor’s recommendation.
MSHMS appeals to citizens who have passed 6 months from the second dose of vaccine, to go to health centers or centralized vaccination points, to be vaccinated with the third booster dose.
AntiCOVID vaccines reduce the chance of infection and greatly avoid hospitalizations and fatalities.
The Ministry of Health reminds the citizens that the observance of anticovid protocols is a necessity for the protection of health.
Mask placement is mandatory in any enclosed environment. Avoid crowds and ventilate your premises to limit the spread of Covid-19.
If you suspect that you are affected by COVID19 or have signs of the disease, isolate yourself immediately and contact your family doctor to be tested as soon as possible or call the National Emergency on the unique number 127.
We inform you about the situation in the last 24 hours, as follows: 1766 tests were performed, of which 251 citizens tested positive with COVID19, in the following municipalities:
113 in Tirana, 16 in Vlora, out of 15 citizens in Fier, Lushnje, 14 in Durrës, 12 in Berat, 6 in Mallakastër, out of 5 citizens in Devoll, Pogradec, Lezha, 4 in Përmet, out of 3 citizens in Gramsh, Poliçan, Saranda, Delvinë, Kurbin, Mirditë, by 2 citizens in Fushë Arrëz, Vora, Kavaja, Bulqiza, Roskovec, Tepelena, Memaliaj, Skrapar, by 1 citizen in Kolonjë, Dropull, Gjirokastër, Dibër, Tropojë, Has, Kukës.
There are 12,606 active COVID19 patients nationwide.
Currently, 126 patients are being treated in COVID hospitals, of which 18 are in a more serious condition. In the last 24 hours, despite the efforts of the medical staff, there are seven lives lost with SARS-COV2 positive: a citizen from Himara 65 years old, a citizen from Korça 66 years old, a citizen from Fieri 79 years old, a citizen from Shkodra 85 years old, two citizens from Kavaja aged 79-87, a citizen from Tirana 88 years old.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expressed its condolences to the families.
1246 citizens have been cured in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of cured to 248,882 since the beginning of the epidemic.
