A 28-year-old father of two minor children took his wife and mother hostage on Sunday evening in the Palini neighborhood of Athens.
Police sources told Top Channel that the perpetrator is called Ervis Hoxha, 28 years old from Berat and suffers from mental problems.
Police explain that the perpetrator forcibly kept the two women in the apartment for several hours.
Numerous police forces went to the area as well as the team specializing in special operations of the Hellenic police, Ekam.
The perpetrator was arrested and is currently being sent to the Attica police directorate.
The reasons why the perpetrator attacked the two women and why he was not in a specialized hospital for analogous cases are still unknown.
