The mayor of Durrës, Emiriana Sako, says that 20 new buildings will lay the foundations on the site of the buildings destroyed by the earthquake. But unlike the previous palaces the quality of construction is the key word of the works.
Emiriana Sako: “We have approved the reconstruction of the facility on the same land, so this is a point facility. In the city of Durrës there are 20 such buildings, where work has begun with the first 5 buildings which are in the same place where the existing buildings were. here we have a building which will be built with the same volume as the previous building will accommodate 154 families and we will have services on the ground floors. Also part of the apartments will be equipped with parking space. “
While in the 17th district, the works have just started, in the administrative unit of Manza, the municipality of Durrës is getting ready to hand over the keys of 226 apartments. Another giant palace site is being erected in the Hospital area. 996 families will be the new residents of this area.
