This project will be developed in several phases and in the new neighborhood of May 5 will have more than 13 thousand inhabitants. The new apartments will house the homeless from the earthquake and the residents, whose houses will be demolished as a result of the construction of this neighborhood. They will receive full compensation through the exchange of an apartment in the new buildings with the same 2 meters they had.
So far, the first two buildings with 100 apartments have been inaugurated. Residents whose house will be demolished will receive a rent bonus until they move into new housing. In total there are 102 buildings that need to be demolished to continue working on the project, 60 of which have already been demolished.
