During a statement to the media, the head of the SP parliamentary group Taulant Balla stated that the parliament will vote on Albania’s membership in the convention that sanctions the punishment of sexual harassment at work.
Among other things, he revealed that there are several draft laws related to the Open Balkans, while the establishment of the joint police-customs point Albania-Greece will also be voted on.
“A very important package is the package of intensification of the fight against money laundering, within the obligations that Albania has towards Manival and the task force against money laundering. We passed in the last session some draft laws related to the implementation of agreements within the Open Balkans that create more opportunities for businesses and citizens.
I am one of those who think that Albania is one of the most profitable countries in the Open Balkans, entrepreneurship and farmers benefit. Go and ask the farmers who export the goods. We will continue the work of the Assembly with the approval of a series of draft laws. We will also vote for Albania’s accession to the Convention that sanctions the perpetrators of sexual harassment in the workplace. “We also have other issues related to the agreements with the countries of the region, the creation of a special unit with Greece”, tha Balla.
