The Chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the Socialist Party, Taulant Balla was today together with the Ambassador of Romania to Albania, Octavian Serban, on a visit to the hospitals of Fier and Divjaka.
The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through its International Development Cooperation Agency, donated medical equipment such as intensive care respirators and defibrillators to the respective hospitals.
In his speech, Balla thanked the Ambassador Serban and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, which through aid agencies have donated some medical equipment to the Hospital of Fier.
“Together with the Ambassador of Romania we are today in the Regional Hospital of Fier, which in coordination with the Memorial Hospital provide health services for the residents of Fier and the whole region. I thank the Ambassador Serban and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, which through aid agencies have donated some medical equipment to the Hospital of Fier. In this time of pandemic it is important to increase our infrastructure capacity with the necessary equipment, such as oxygen equipment, which have been needed at this time.
During the visit to the hospital of Fier we have identified some other needs which we will coordinate with the Ministry and donors. House problems are never solved alone, but also with friends and donors. Romania, although we continue to have a very good relationship, we now find the opportunity to identify the needs, which we can address together ‘, declared Balla.
