The focus, depending on the problems of each district, has been the dominance of the criminal situation by the structures of the Police, in terms of crime, especially in serious crimes; apprehending and prosecuting all wanted persons, those who carry illegal weapons; The cultivation of cannabis, as I have mentioned in other previous publications, is a challenge which has been strongly requested by me, in all police structures, to have another and incomparable result this year. with no other previous year. I have strongly asked all actors, law enforcement agencies, intelligence and local government, to be more cooperative, in order to work together against this problem, which categorizes our country as a problematic place in terms of cannabis cultivation and not only. Likewise in terms of hard drugs, which in addition to trafficking and enrichment of individuals or criminal groups, then lead to conflicts which lead to or degenerate into murder or other serious crimes, which constitute a very negative impact. for the whole security situation in the country.

question: We have often seen bad behavior of the State Police with citizens. What are your priorities as CEO?

Answer: Since taking office, I have clearly spoken about another approach in relation to the citizens, as well as the media, you have noticed. I am determined that for any misconduct or violation of the law, of any police officer, investigations or verifications be carried out and concrete measures be taken. I am not for a violent police with citizens, I am for a professional and capable police or with clear and successful results against crime.

question: Some sensational murders have been committed, still no perpetrators?

Answer: For this I want to clarify very briefly, because all issues are under investigation. We are conducting very important investigations, for which we will have results at the time these results should be given, after the investigations are over. But what I want to guarantee to the whole community and the public opinion is that the State Police is maximally committed to the investigation and the completion of these investigations, to conduct quality investigations, in order to uncover and bring to justice all the perpetrators. of these offenses.

question: Are the transfers from one Commissariat to another due to work deficiencies or are they simply appointments from one Commissariat to another?

Answer: The movements in the State Police have several reasons when they are performed and for this opinion is taken and analyzed all the data of a police officer, to change or to be transferred from one task to another.

Question: The last question, Mr. Director, consists of the possession of weapons. We have noticed that the killings that occur are mostly with unlicensed weapons, normally they will be unlicensed, but there are sporadic cases that may be by police officers or other employees. Does the State Police have a plan to perhaps re-examine and once again “disarm” the population, as there were gunshots during the end-of-year holidays, which shows that there is a presence of illegal weapons in the community.

Answer: The State Police acts based on the competence and scope of its work and our task is to catch and bring to justice all persons who carry illegal weapons. Other decisions regarding “disarmament” are not decisions that belong to the Police to take, they are initiatives at even higher levels, so I can not give any comment.

Question: Mr. Nano, regarding the mining sector, the key word of the Police is the fight against corruption and crime. Will this sector be seriously intervened?

Answer: In cooperation with other institutions that regulate and have the obligation to license or control these business activities, we are seeing them all and for these cases we have investigations which we will finalize under the direction of the relevant Prosecutions , so and because in the district of Dibra there is such an activity that takes place here, we are focused and clear messages are left regarding all suspicions of abuse in this sector.

question: There is talk of parameters and this is a very good thing, but do you think that the Police organization meets all the criteria in terms of meeting the parameters?

Answer: We are aiming in cooperation and with all actors, both within the country and our international partners, to have a Police as European as possible, this is not done for one day or for two days, it takes its time.

But what I want to assure you is the maximum commitment, as well as the support of the Minister of Interior and the Prime Minister, as you have noticed, with budget support, with funds, to have an even more supportive Police in terms of financial treatment of police officers, as well as in the most modern logistics or technology, for which we are very focused in order to dominate the entire territory, obtain information and track down any criminal activity in the country.
