Berisha Group is ready for local elections to be held in our country. This is what the member of the PD Re-establishment Commission, Çlirim Gjata, said in a live connection on the Top Talk show with the journalist Denis Dyrnjaja.
He says that at any date, they are ready and that they are not divided into two groups, those who support Basha and others who support Berisha, but are all of the Democratic Party.
“Since we are for 6 municipalities, he saw it as primary to set a date for good quality elections. No problem let them be made. In the statute we have set the primary, there are no candidates of Basha or Berisha, they belong to the Democratic Party and will be subject to the primary for the first time, by secret ballot one member one vote. “Whoever wants to compete with me, it does not matter is with Basha or Berisha, who will come to compete.”, said Gjata.
Recall that the President of the Republic Ilir Meta this Wednesday met in the Presidency with the chairman of the parliamentary group of the Socialist Party, Taulant Balla to set a date for holding by-elections in six municipalities in the country.
In a statement to the media, after the meeting with Balla, Meta said that he received the guarantee that the Socialist Party is ready for the local by-elections at any time.
The municipalities that have been left without a mayor are those of Shkodra, Vora, Durrës, Rrogozhina, Dibra and Lushnja.
Currently, Vora, Durrës, Rrogozhina and Dibra are run by appointed rather than elected mayors. While Voltana Ademi in Shkodra continues to hold the mandate beyond the deadlines.
