The 22-year-old American, known as Klej Zezakaj, has captured the hearts of Albanian followers on TikTok, with videos where he sings and dances in Albanian.
In an interview on “Invitation to 5”, he shows the passion he had to learn the Albanian language and culture of our country.
“Albania is a small country and does not often hear about it. I said why not. I wanted to learn a special language”.
He also tells the moment when Albanian friends gave him this name, which he does not see as racism.
“I went to an Albanian wedding. My friends told me we would find you a name. I know some say he is racist, but I do not think so. I decided – this at the end and I did Zezakaj”.
Klej confesses that he met some of the Albanian singers, and even learned to sing light and popular songs: “I met with friends Ledri Vula, Dhurata Dora, Capital T, Sinan Hoxha and many others”.
