According to her, the path of the Western Balkans should follow the course of cooperation of the 6 countries and that the process should continue to be comprehensive and open to all.
On the other hand, he emphasizes that the vetting process is making an important contribution to the justice system, but in this way the government and the opposition are important.
Luhrman: I want to make it clear that Albania and the Western Balkans and the prospect of EU membership, for me personally and the federal government are of strategic importance. The federal government is strongly committed to launching membership talks as soon as possible and this is also in the initial interest of the EU itself and is very important for stability in the region.
In the framework of the diplomatic relations that have existed for 30 years between the Federal Republic and Albania, we work closely for the benefit of the people in many sectors. This year, when Albania sits for the first time in the United Nations Security Council, we are glad to rely on Albania as a reliable partner.
Albania has made great strides in consolidating democracy and human rights. Likewise are senior officials and members of the organized crime network convicted, the vetting process is making a significant contribution to the justice system. This path must be followed with determination. The government and the opposition are important in this way. The next steps would undermine the reform process.
The Western Balkans is important for the future of Europe so in 2014, the federal government brought the Berlin process to life. The region remains a top priority. The path of the Western Balkans should follow the course of cooperation of the 6 countries and that the process should continue to be comprehensive and open to all.
