A 30-year-old man, previously declared wanted by the authorities for fraud, has fallen into the hands of the Berat police.
According to a report made by the police, it is learned that the citizen EK, rented cars and did not hand them over, after returning them to spare parts or abandoning them on the street.
After the control exercised by the police near his apartment, a pistol firearm was found, which are suspected to have been used for criminal events.
Meanwhile, during the control of the territory, in the neighborhood ‘Çlirim’, the police found hidden a Kalashnikov firearm and ammunition while working to identify and apprehend its possessor.
The seized firearms will be sent to the Scientific Police Institute, for further examinations, as they are suspected to have been used in criminal events that took place before.

The two seized firearms will be sent to the Scientific Police Institute, for further examinations, as they are suspected to have been used in criminal events that took place before.
Following the controls exercised in the territory, in order to apprehend and bring to justice the wanted citizens, those who circulate with firearms or narcotics, by the specialists of the Crime Section at the Kuçova Police Station, after information about the location of a wanted citizen, who also possessed firearms, the operation “Osumi” was organized and finalized, to capture this citizen.
As a result, in cooperation with the Directorate of Special Operational Force in the State Police, the Operational Forces of DVP Berat and the services of the Kuçova Police Commissariat, it became possible to locate and apprehend the citizen:
EK, 30 years old, resident in the neighborhood “11 Shkurti”, Kuçovë, declared wanted by the Police Commissariat Kuçovë, Durrës Police Commissariat, Police Commissariat no. 6 Tirana and DVP Lezha, for the criminal offense “Fraud”.
This citizen rented cars and did not hand them over after returning them to spare parts or abandoning them on the street.
From the control exercised, the Police services found hidden near the apartment of this citizen, in Kuçova, a pistol firearm, which during the first investigative investigations turned out to belong to the 30-year-old.
Also, the services of the Berat Police Commissariat, following the control of the territory and the information received on the operational road, in the “Liberation” neighborhood, found a Kalashnikov firearm and ammunition hidden. Work continues to identify and apprehend the possessor of the Kalashnikov.
The materials were referred to the Berat Judicial District Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
