According to INSTAT, the trade volume between the countries has increased significantly over the years, where the biggest beneficiary is undoubtedly Turkey as our country imports significant quantities of goods. Over the years the weight of goods imported from Turkey has shown an ever-increasing trend.
Over the past year, Albania has imported 86.1 billion ALL worth of goods from Turkey for almost over 700 million euros, including clothing and footwear, steel products, fuels or plastic articles and other products..
While Albania on the other hand, last year exported 5.3 billion ALL of goods “Made in Albania” or about 43.4 million euros in total to Turkey.
Referring to statistics, Albanian exports have seen a slight increase in the last 5 years, however they still remain at very low levels.
While in total, the trade volume between the two countries, ie import-exports during the last year exceeded half a billion euros, as according to INSTAT, it is estimated at 747.7 million euros the value of goods exchanged between the two countries.
