The Assembly of Kosovo convened in an extraordinary session convened by the majority where an 8-point resolution was adopted banning voting for the Serbian referendum in the territory of Kosovo.
The resolution stipulates that it is unconstitutional to vote for elections or referendums of another state in the sovereign territory of Kosovo.
In the Assembly, Prime Minister Kurti said that although this practice has been allowed in previous years, this resolution will be a lesson for the mistakes of the past.
LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku expressed his opposition to the resolution.
Ramush Haradinaj was adamant in his demands for Kosovo institutions regarding the referendum.
The Serbian list left the hall during the session. The opposition PDK party also boycotted the session, with Speaker Memli Krasniqi arguing that the resolution was unnecessary and that Prime Minister Kurti was avoiding responsibility for his decisions.
