6,601 people are currently infected with coronavirus in Albania and 110 of them are receiving medical treatment in hospital, according to the Ministry of Health.
During the last 24 hours, 335 new cases have been confirmed, out of a total of 2,487 tests performed, while a 69-year-old from Kamza and an 86-year-old from Tirana have lost their lives.
The Ministry of Health reports 182 positive cases in Tirana, 24 in Durrës, 15 in Saranda, 14 in Kuçova, 12 in Lezha, 10 in Fier, Lushnjë, Berat, 9 in Shkodra, 6 in Vlora, 4 in Rroskovec, Himara, 3 in Kurbin, Kavaja, Gjirokastra, Përmet, Tepelena, Pogradec, 2 in Dibër, Këlcyrë, Gramsh, 1 in Vau i Dejës, Kukës, Has, Vora, Rrogozhinë, Divjakë, Mallakastër, Delvinë, Dropull, Memaliaj, Librazhd.
115 citizens have been cured in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of cured to 201,397 since the beginning of the epidemic.
Meanwhile, the vaccination process continues smoothly across the country. Any citizen over 16 years of age can be vaccinated at the health center or at the nearest centralized vaccination point.
Vaccination is also open for children +12 years old with immune system problems, with a doctor’s recommendation.
The Ministry of Health appeals to all +18 years old who have passed 6 months from the second dose, to go to health centers or centralized vaccination points to be vaccinated with the third booster dose.
