Niko Kovac will no longer be in charge of Monaco.
The decision has not yet taken official form, however the club leaders have divided their minds regarding the Croatian coach. Kovac took over the management of the club from the Principality in July 2020, as he managed to bring the team back to high levels with the red and whites closing out the championship last season in third place.
However, the first half of this season has had many ups and downs for Monaco currently ranked sixth and this has influenced the management to take the extreme measure against the former Bayern Munich coach.
Meanwhile, according to the prestigious L’Equipe, one of the reasons for Kovac’s dismissal was the fact that the coach could not establish order in the locker rooms without the support of many players of the team. Recall that the Croatian is the third coach to be fired this season in Ligue 1, after Claud Puel of Saint-Etienne and Laurent Batlles of Troyes.
