Analyst Kreshnik Spahiu, invited to the show “Top Talk” on Top Channel, said that the Democratic Party has closed its cycle and now needs a new movement to defeat Edi Rama.
Spahiu said that only a new movement like the one of the Vetëvendosje type in Kosovo would restore change in Albania.
Kreshnik Spahiu: Legally in political concepts you have it written in the law on political parties: When a party is divided into more than two parties, then the judiciary must decide the distribution of this party. Under Berisha’s leadership, 5 parties have been created, under Lulzim Basha’s leadership 12 parties.
This party is factional and has lost the purpose for which it was created. Practically, this party has become the hostage of the opposition trench and the longer it passes that the salvation of Albania is the DP and not the rotation, the longer Edi Rama will stay in power. The DP has closed its historic and political mission. Only a new Vetëvendosje-type political movement in Kosovo would make a difference.
