Albania appreciates the strategic partnership and the very good and friendly traditional relations with Turkey, in the service of good neighborliness, development, stability, peace and progress in the region and beyond. Albania and Turkey are close and reliable partners in NATO and are working to achieve the national goal, EU membership.
Turkey is Albania’s fourth trading partner. Turkish investments reach the figure of 3.6 billion dollars, while about 15 thousand Albanian citizens work in Turkish companies in Albania.
Mayor Nikolla praised the increase of cooperation in recent years in the field of security, defense, education, culture, tourism, transport and health, praised the establishment for a very short period of the Regional Hospital in Fier, and noted that Albania welcomes investments Turkish in technology, processing industry, clothing industry, agriculture, livestock, etc.
Nikola expressed gratitude for Turkey’s assistance in coping with the consequences of the earthquake and stressed that the 524 Turkish government-funded residential apartments in the Municipality of Kurbin are ready to house the affected families in January 2022.
Albania is grateful for Turkey’s help in overcoming the pandemic.
