A person has been arrested by the Gjirokastra police and his two accomplices have been declared wanted for assistance in illegal border crossing.
The 31-year-old identified with the initials EM, resident in Paskuqan is involved in the event that took place on December 18. On the Gjirokastra-Tepelena road axis, in a place called “River Bridge”, he was in a vehicle that was transporting illegal immigrants who did not obey the order of the Traffic Police officers to stop the vehicle.
The person driving it quickly left and abandoned him. Today they arrested the young man and declared wanted the persons identified as PM, 31 years old and K. Ll., 28 years old, resident in Tirana.
From the investigative actions it results that in cooperation with each other, they have been transporting with a rented vehicle, 9 foreign nationals from MENA countries, for profit.
Work continues to fully clarify the circumstances of the event, identify and bring to justice the other persons implicated in this criminal activity.
The materials in charge of the above citizens were forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
