Police have escorted 8 people to the police due to incidents that occurred during yesterday’s protest.
Two of the 8 escorted persons are expected to take more severe measures. Recall that in the protest called by former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, some young people took Serbian flags from the pillars in front of the Prime Minister to set them on fire.
4 national flags of Serbia were burned, 2 citizens were handcuffed, 6 others were prosecuted at large.
The structures of the State Police, after the collected evidence, made the arrest and escort of 8 persons who were involved in illegal activities during the protest on the boulevard “Dëshmorët e Kombit”.
At the end of the actions carried out by the investigative structures of the Police, the following citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto: AC, 41 years old, resident in Tirana and BB, 56 years old, resident in Kruja.
6 juvenile citizens aged 15 and 16, resident in Tirana and Durrës, were also prosecuted at large.
These citizens, during the protest yesterday afternoon, on the boulevard “Dëshmorët e Kombit”, in front of the Prime Minister, burned four national flags of Serbia.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance in Tirana, for further actions, for the criminal offenses “Incitement to hatred or quarrels” and “Humiliation of the Republic and its symbols”.
