Four people have lost their lives and eight others have been injured by the collapse of a bridge on a boulevard in China’s central province of Hubei.
A section of about 500 meters of the bridge, which was held on large concrete legs, collapsed. Part of the bridge collapsed on a highway, where three trucks fell off the bridge.
The CCTV television network announced that the tragedy happened at 08:36 in the morning (Albanian time) and the causes have not been clarified yet.
China’s Ministry of Transportation on Saturday said it had sent specialists to Hubei to help with the aftermath of the accident, while instructing local transportation services to monitor the situation and conduct emergency rescue operations.
Meanwhile, the injured were transported to the hospital, while the authorities are continuing the investigation to fully clarify the event.
